Physician-Supervised Weight Management
Arviv Medical Aesthetics manages weight with medical weight loss, hormone replacement therapy, and shaping treatments in Miami, Tampa, and Ocala, under Dr. Tali Arviv, MD.
Understanding the Concern
A Lab-Based Approach to Medical Weight Loss
Weight management here starts with a medical assessment, not a symptom quiz. Lab work comes before any nutrition plan or prescription support, and hormonal factors are reviewed alongside those results, because a shifting hormone picture and diet alone are not always the same problem. Dr. Tali Arviv, MD built this program around that assessment, and it shapes every plan across our three Florida offices.
A Medical Assessment First
Lab work and a health history come before any nutrition plan or prescription support, so your program starts from your own numbers rather than a symptom checklist.
Hormonal Factors, Reviewed With Labs
Hormonal changes can affect weight and energy, so your bloodwork is reviewed for that alongside the rest of your assessment before any plan is set.
Physician-Set Protocols
Dr. Tali Arviv, MD sets the weight-management protocols at all three Florida locations, and every provider you see trains under them.
A Quick Decision Aid
Components of a Weight Management Program
Most plans use more than one column below over time, so treat this as a map of a program rather than a single choice. When GLP-1s belong in a plan, a provider prescribes and monitors them in person, and the NIH weight guidance covers the daily eating and activity habits that support any medical plan.
| Feature | Starting the Program | Hormonal Factors | Shaping Once Weight Is Stable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where we usually start | Medical weight loss | Hormone replacement therapy | Emsculpt Neo or CoolSculpting |
| What it addresses | A physician-supervised program built on lab work, a custom nutrition plan, and weekly check-ins | Hormonal factors that can affect weight and energy, reviewed against your own bloodwork before any plan is set | Shape and muscle tone once your weight has stabilized, alongside the medical program rather than in place of it |
| Typical visit rhythm | Weekly check-ins | Periodic lab rechecks | A short series of sessions |
Not sure where your plan should start? Your first visit is a medical assessment, and the program that follows is built with you from there.

Frequently Asked Questions About Weight Management
Is medical weight loss the same as body contouring?
No. Medical weight loss addresses your overall weight through lab work, nutrition, and physician supervision. Contouring treatments shape a specific area once your weight is stable. If a contained pocket rather than your overall weight is the concern, our stubborn fat page is the better starting point.
Do I need bloodwork before starting the program?
Yes. Your medical weight-loss program starts with a medical assessment and lab work, so your nutrition plan and any prescription support follow your own results rather than a template.
Can I add Emsculpt Neo or CoolSculpting during my program?
Often, once your weight has stabilized. Both sit on our body-contouring menu at our Miami and Tampa locations and are discussed as a later step, not a substitute for the medical program itself.
Are weight-loss medications discussed by brand name?
No. We discuss medical weight loss and hormone therapy in terms of process, lab work, and physician supervision rather than by brand or molecule. If GLP-1s fit your plan, they are prescribed and monitored here in person, and your provider covers specifics at consult.
