What is a liquid facelift?

The liquid facelift is a custom procedure for patients seeking to get a facelift without having to go under the knife. During the consultation the Dr. Arviv will assess your individual needs and determine what combination of treatments are necessary to give you the best outcome.

A liquid face lift may include a combination of dermal fillers Botox or other neuromodulators, PDO Threads for lifting, platelet Rich plasma injections, and possibly even some energy modality to help with lifting and tightening the skin such as Ultherapy, microneedling with radiofrequency, also known as genius treatment, IPL, Trinity facial, or a fractional CO2 laser.

Everyone is different. Some may have more skin laxity, while others volume loss, texture concerns , sun damage or wrinkles. This procedure is available for anyone who has concerns regarding their face and wants to do something non-surgical.

What can I improve with liquid facelift?

The procedure is meant to target the main tissues that are affected by aging.

• Muscles – Botox or other neuromodulator is injected into select muscles that depress and pull down on facial skin and by doing so will allow muscles that lift to be a bit stronger and create a lift in the face.
• Fat and Bone– Volume loss in the face form fat loss and bone density reduction can result in skin appearing more saggy. Using dermal fillers we can add back the volume when it was lost and reposition the skin where it should be. Reducing the appearance of hollow areas and depressions in the face as well as creating smooth transitions between lower lid and cheek, the mid cheek area, the smile lines, temples and jawline.
• Skin– the skin loses significant amount of elasticity as we age and will sag creating the appearance of jowls and deep creases around mouth also known as the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. We can improve this area with fillers but also treating the skin with different modalities can help shrink and tighten the skin. It will also improve the texture, quality, and even skin tone.

How to prepare?

• Avoid blood thinners if possible, although it is not contraindicated it can increase risk of swelling and bruising. Some blood thinners may impact PRP treatment.
• Avoid major plans for up to 7 days.
• Avoid facials, massages, and when doing threads dental work for 4 weeks.
• Avoid making plans that involve direct sun exposure for 2 weeks.

Additionally pre and post care instructions will be provided during consultation depending on the customized treatment plan you receive.

Many of us want a facelift but we don’t necessarily want to go through surgery, general anesthesia and recovery. This is one way you can improve your appearance and avoid surgery. It’s important to have realistic expectations. Non surgery options in patients with severe laxity may not be sufficient. It’s important to discuss expectations with your provider.
